The organization works closely with adults that have mental health conditions and learning disabilities. The service users within the organization have different severities of illness and are aged between forty to eighty years of age. The organization aids vulnerable adults who may struggle to fully participate and make decisions in day-to-day living.

The vulnerable adults who live within the complex are supported to live fulfilling lives with the support to gain access to the wider community. Individuality and choices are promoted daily through the use of activities, social outings into the local community, and religion if required. The organization’s statement promotes dignity and respect. All staff members, volunteers, family, and friends support service users by encouraging individuality and respect, supporting service users to gain life skills to aid in their own lives.

The organization provides sixteen En-Suite rooms, to support privacy and build life skills in personal care with staff support. The rooms are decorated to service users’ preferences, allowing service users to feel at home and not just part of an organization. The home provides a rehabbed kitchen, which has facilities for cooking, washing, and tea/coffee outlets. The rehab kitchen supports service users to gain everyday life skills, also encouraging service users to gain independence within the organization.

The organization follows a number of policies and procedures in the day-to-day running of the home. Staff is trained during their working hours, updating their own knowledge of health and safety, care plans & procedural knowledge. This is maintained weekly, monthly, and sometimes annually. The organization has a dignity ambassador who supports service users and staff.

This is advertised throughout the home. The dining room holds artwork that service users have made along with a dignity tree promoting statements of respect, friendship, empowerment, and support. The ten dignity point challenge is renewed yearly with the application of the dignity award being undertaken whilst on placement.
