From the individual week, I learned about the development of criminology and its various characteristic that influences the diverse range of competing theories and their perspectives. The birth of criminology started with classical criminology and it makes a major effect on society it indicates the free will and consequences that assume the criminal activities among the community. The differences between classicism and positivism are analyzed in the learning period.
Classical criminology explains the crime and makes a description with a broad perspective with the operate measurement and it leads to minimizing the crimes and making appropriate punishment and protecting the victim and offender from the various unwanted consequences. It helps to minimize crime and reduce it in society(Thilakarathall(9). The victimology and crime are identified during my learning period.
‘Through this leaming segment, the circumstances of the victim and the emergence of victimology are analyzed. Police play a major role to maintain the criminal incident in society and make proper justice for the victims. To reduces, the punishment of criminal has various appeal stages in court. The individual court plays a major role in analyzing the victim’s situation of the act and setting an appropriate punishment considering the victim’s situation. Offender management is one of the major parts of our society. From my learning period, I analyzed that without proper management of the justice system the criminology number could not be decreased.
